Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Barranquilla
The Archdiocese of Barranquilla (Latin: Archidioecesis Barranquillensis, Spanish: Archidiócesis de Barranquilla ) is a location in Columbia Roman Catholic diocese based in Barranquilla. It includes the Colombian Departementos Atlántico.
History
Pope Pius XI. founded it on 7 July 1932, the bull maxim quidem from cessions of territory of the Archdiocese of Cartagena, where it was assumed as a suffragan.
With the Apostolic Constitution Recta rerum it was raised on 25 April 1969 in the rank of Metropolitanerzbistums.
