Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Mendoza

The Archdiocese of Mendoza (Latin: Archidioecesis Mendozensis, Spanish: Arquidiócesis de Mendoza ) is a location in Argentina Roman Catholic archdiocese based in Mendoza.

History

The Diocese of Mendoza was born on April 20, 1934 by Pope Pius XI. built with the Papal Bull Nobilis Argentinas Tinae Nationis out of territory of the Archdiocese of San Juan de Cuyo and this is a suffragan. On April 10, 1961, the diocese was part of its territory from the foundation of the Diocese of San Rafael. At the same time the diocese Mendoza was by Pope John XXIII. raised to an archbishopric with suffragan sees the San Rafael and Neuquén.
