The Archdiocese of Taunggyi (Latin: Archidioecesis Taunggyiensis ) is an Archdiocese of the Roman Catholic church located in Taunggyi, Myanmar.

History

The Archdiocese was on 21 March 1961 as the Diocese of Taunggyi (Latin Taunggyiensis ), a suffragan of the Archdiocese of Yangon from the Diocese of Toungoo by Pope John XXIII. founded; first bishop was John Baptist Gobbato PIME. By Pope John Paul II, the diocese was raised on 17 January 1998 Archdiocese.
