Roman Catholic Diocese of Abaetetuba
The diocese Abaetetuba (Latin: Dioecesis Abaëtetubensis ) is a location in Brazil Roman Catholic diocese based in Abaetetuba in the state of Pará.
History
The diocese Abaetetuba was on 25 November in 1961 by Pope John XXIII. with the Apostolic Constitution Quandoquidem novae out of territory of the Archdiocese of Belém do Pará built as Territorialprälatur Abaeté do Tocantins. The Territorialprälatur Abaeté do Tocantins was the Archdiocese of Belém do Pará assumed as suffragan.
On August 4, 1981, the Territorialprälatur Abaeté do Tocantins was elevated by Pope John Paul II with the Apostolic Constitution Qui ad Beatissimi to the diocese.
