Roman Catholic Diocese of Abancay

The diocese Abancay (Latin: Dioecesis Abancaiensis ) is a located in the Central Peruvian Andes Roman Catholic diocese based in Abancay.

The diocese was erected Abancay on April 28, 1958 from cessions of territory of the Archdiocese of Cuzco and this is a suffragan. On April 26, 1968, the diocese was from a part of its territory establishing the Territorialprälatur Chuquibambilla.

The diocese comprises the territory of Abancay Apurimac region.
