Roman Catholic Diocese of Boma
The Diocese of Boma (Latin: Dioecesis Bomaensis ) is a located in the Democratic Republic of the Congo Roman Catholic diocese based in Boma.
History
The Diocese of Boma was born on February 26, 1934 by Pope Pius XI. with the Apostolic Constitution Maiori catholicae built out of territory of the Apostolic Lulua and Central Katanga Prefecture Apostolic Vicariate of Léopoldville and as Apostolic Vicariate of Boma. On November 10, 1959, the Apostolic Vicariate of Boma was by Pope John XXIII. charged with the Apostolic Constitution Cum parvulum to the diocese.
The Diocese of Boma is the Archdiocese of Kinshasa is a suffragan.
