The Diocese of Bragança - Miranda (Latin: Dioecesis Brigantiensis - Mirandensis ) is a location in Portugal Roman Catholic diocese based in Bragança.

History

The Diocese of Bragança - Miranda was established on March 5, 1770 by Pope Clement XIV with the Apostolic Constitution Pastoris Aeterni out of territory of the Diocese Diocese of Bragança and Miranda as the Archdiocese of Braga, is a suffragan. On September 27, 1780 Diocese of Bragança was by Pope Pius VI. renamed with the Apostolic Constitution Romanus Pontifex in Diocese of Bragança and Miranda. The Diocese of Bragança and Miranda announced on April 20, 1922 from parts of its territory to the founding of the Diocese of Vila Real. On 27 May 1996 the Diocese of Bragança and Miranda was renamed the Diocese of Bragança - Miranda.
