Roman Catholic Diocese of Cuauhtémoc-Madera

The Diocese of Cuauhtémoc - Madera (Latin: Dioecesis Cuauhtemocensis - Materiensis, Spanish: diócesis de Cuauhtémoc - Madera ) is a location in Mexico Roman Catholic diocese based in Cuauhtémoc.

History

The Diocese of Cuauhtémoc - Madera was born on April 25, 1966 by Pope Paul VI. with the Apostolic Constitution in Christ similitudinem out of territory of the Archdiocese of Chihuahua and Ciudad Juarez and Ciudad Obregón bishoprics erected as Territorialprälatur Madera. On 17 November 1995, the Territorialprälatur Madera was elevated by Pope John Paul II with the Apostolic Constitution Cum Praelatura to the diocese and renamed Diocese of Cuauhtémoc - Madera.
