Roman Catholic Diocese of Doumé–Abong’ Mbang

The diocese Doumé - Abong ' Mbang (Latin: Dioecesis Dumensis - Abongensis - Mbangensis ) is a location in Cameroon Roman Catholic diocese based in Doumé.

History

The diocese Doumé - Abong ' Mbang was posted on March 3, 1949 by Pope Pius XII. cessions of territory from the Apostolic Vicariate of Yaoundé built as Apostolic Vicariate Doumé. On September 14, 1955, the Apostolic Vicariate Doumé was Pius XII. charged with the Apostolic Constitution Dum Tantis to the diocese and the Archdiocese of Yaoundé is a suffragan. The diocese Doumé announced on 17 March 1983 from parts of its territory to the foundation of the diocese Bertoua. On March 17, 1983, the diocese was renamed the Diocese Doumé Doumé - Abong ' Mbang. The diocese Doumé - Abong ' Mbang was placed under the Archbishopric Bertoua suffragan on 11 November 1994.
