Roman Catholic Diocese of Foz do Iguaçu
The Diocese of Foz do Iguaçu (Latin: Dioecesis Iguassuensis ) is a located in Brazil Roman Catholic diocese based in Foz do Iguaçu, Paraná state.
History
The Territorialprälatur Foz do Iguaçu was on May 10, 1926 Pope Pius XI. built with the Papal Bull Quum in this number, and the Archdiocese of Curitiba assumed as suffragan. On 20 June 1959, the Territorialprälatur was dissolved and the territory of the bishoprics of Campo Mourão and Toledo were built.
On 5 May 1978, the Territorialprälatur Foz do Iguaçu was built from cessions of territory of the Diocese of Toledo again and charged simultaneously to the diocese. The Diocese of Foz do Iguaçu is subordinate to the Archdiocese of Cascavel suffragan.
