History

The diocese Goré was established on November 28, 1998 by Pope John Paul II with the Apostolic Constitution Diligentem sane curam of annexations of the dioceses Doba and Moundou and the Archdiocese of N'Djamena, is a suffragan. First bishop was Rosario Pio Ramolo OFM Cap.
