Roman Catholic Diocese of Jiading
The Diocese of Leshan (Latin: Dioecesis Chiatimensis ) is a located in the People's Republic of China Roman Catholic diocese based in Leshan.
History
The Diocese of Leshan was posted on July 10, 1929 by Pope Pius XI. built with the Apostolic Constitution Ut spirituali of annexations of the Apostolic Vicariate Suifu as Apostolic Prefecture Yachow. The Apostolic Prefecture Yachow was born on March 3, 1933 by Pius XI. elevated to the Apostolic Vicariate. On February 9, 1938, the Apostolic Vicariate Yachow was renamed Vicariate Apostolic Leshan.
The Apostolic Vicariate of Leshan was posted on April 11, 1946 by Pope Pius XII. charged with the Apostolic Constitution Quotidie Nos to the diocese and the Archdiocese of Chongqing is a suffragan.
