Roman Catholic Diocese of Katiola

The diocese of Katiola (Latin: Dioecesis Katiolaensis ) is a location in the Ivory Coast Roman Catholic diocese based in Katiola. It includes the Department Ferkessedougou in the region Savanes and the departments Katiola and Dabakala in the region Vallée du Bandama.

History

Pope Pius X founded the Apostolic Constitution EIUS Successores on 13 November 1958, the Apostolic Prefecture of Korhogo annexations of the Apostolic Vicariate of Ivory Coast. She was charged on May 15, 1952 Apostolic Vicariate.

With the bull Dum Tantis it was collected on September 14, 1955 Diocese, which was the Archdiocese of Abidjan assumed as suffragan. On 19 December 1994, was part of the ecclesiastical province of the Archdiocese of Korhogo.
