Roman Catholic Diocese of Kroonstad
The Diocese of Kroonstad (Latin: Dioecesis Kroonstadensis ) is a location in South Africa, Roman Catholic diocese based in Kroonstad.
History
The Diocese of Kroonstad was posted on November 26, 1923 by Pope Pius XI. from the Apostolic Vicariate of territory Kimberley built in South Africa as Apostolic Prefecture Kroonstad. On April 8, 1935, the Apostolic Prefecture of Kroonstad was by Pius XI. elevated to the Apostolic Vicariate. The Apostolic Vicariate of Kroonstad announced on February 12, 1948 from parts of its territory to the founding of the Apostolic Vicariate of Bethlehem.
The Apostolic Vicariate of Kroonstad was posted on January 11, 1951 by Pope Pius XII. applicable to the diocese and the Archdiocese of Bloemfontein is a suffragan.
