Roman Catholic Diocese of Macapá

The Diocese of Macapa (Latin: Dioecesis Macapensis ) is a location in Brazil Roman Catholic diocese based in Macapa in the state of Amapá.

History

The Diocese of Macapa was on February 1, 1949 by Pope Pius XII. built with the Papal Bull unius Apostolicae Sedis of annexations of Territorialprälatur Santarém as Territorialprälatur Macapa. On 30 October 1980 Territorialprälatur Macapa was raised to the bishopric. The Diocese of Macapa is the Archdiocese Belém do Pará is a suffragan.
