Roman Catholic Diocese of Miao

The Diocese of Miao (Latin: Dioecesis Miaoensis ) is a located in India Roman Catholic diocese based in Miao.

History

The Diocese of Miao was on 7 December 2005 by Pope Benedict XVI. Pastorale munus built with the Apostolic Constitution of cessions of territory of the diocese of Dibrugarh and the Archdiocese of Guwahati is a suffragan. First bishop was George Palliparampil SDB.

Territory

The diocese comprises the districts Anjaw Miao, Changlang, Dibang Valley, Lohit, Lower Dibang Valley and Tirap in Arunachal Pradesh.
