Roman Catholic Diocese of Musoma

The Diocese of Musoma (Latin: Dioecesis Musomensis ) is a diocese of the Roman Catholic Church based in Musoma, Tanzania.

History

Diocese of Musoma forerunner of today is the April 11, 1946 Pope Pius XII. reasoned from the Apostolic Vicariate Apostolic Vicariate Musoma Mwanza out - Maswa, which was divided on 24 June 1950 in the Apostolic Prefecture of Musoma and the Apostolic Vicariate Maswa. On 5 July 1957, the founding of the Diocese of Musoma was made today. On November 27, 2010, the Diocese of Musoma were parts of its territory from the foundation of the Diocese of Bunda.

The diocese is a suffragan of the Archdiocese of Mwanza.
