The Diocese of Ponta de Pedras (Latin: Dioecesis Petrosi Culminis ) is a located in Brazil Roman Catholic diocese based in Ponta de Pedras in the state of Pará.
History
The Diocese of Ponta de Pedras was posted on June 25, 1963 by Pope Paul VI. out of territory of the Archdiocese of Belém do Pará built as Ponta de Pedras Territorialprälatur. The Territorialprälatur was the Archdiocese of Belém do Pará assumed as suffragan. On October 16, 1979, Ponta de Pedras Territorialprälatur was elevated by Pope John Paul II to the Pontifical Bull Cum Praelaturae to the diocese.
