Roman Catholic Diocese of Puno

The Diocese of Puno (Latin: Dioecesis Puniensis ) is located in southern Peru Roman Catholic diocese based in Puno.

History

The Diocese of Puno was built from cessions of territory of the Diocese of Cuzco on October 7, 1861. In his history of the diocese several times parts of its territory was from the creation of new dioceses. The Diocese of Puno is the Archdiocese of Arequipa is a suffragan.
