Roman Catholic Diocese of Puqi

The diocese Puqi (Latin: Dioecesis Puchivanus ) is a Roman Catholic diocese based in Puqi in the People's Republic of China.

History

Pope Pius XI. founded with the Breve Quo Christianized the Apostolic Prefecture Puchi on 12 December 1923 annexations of the Apostolic Vicariate Osthubei. Odoric Simon Tcheng OFM was one of the first six Chinese bishops. Pope Pius XI were ordained in Rome on October 28, 1926 Bishop.

With the Apostolic Constitution Qui universe it was collected on 10 May 1951 bishopric. The diocese remained for a long time without a bishop.
