Roman Catholic Diocese of Saint John's – Basseterre
The Diocese of Saint John's - Basseterre (Latin Dioecesis Sancti Ioannis Imatelluranus ) is a Roman Catholic diocese based in Saint John's, Antigua in the Caribbean. It includes the areas Anguilla, Antigua and Barbuda, the British Virgin Islands, Montserrat and St Kitts and Nevis.
History
The Diocese of Saint John's - Basseterre was posted on January 16, 1971 by Pope Paul VI. built with the Apostolic Constitution Cum nobis out of territory of the Diocese of Roseau as Diocese of Saint John's. On June 21, 1981, the Diocese of Saint John's was renamed the Diocese of Saint John's - Basseterre.
It is the Archdiocese of Castries, is a suffragan.
