Roman Catholic Diocese of São Luís de Montes Belos

The Diocese of São Luís de Montes Belus (Latin: Sancti Dioecesis Aloisii de Montes Belus ) is a located in Brazil Roman Catholic diocese based in São Luís de Montes Belus in the state of Goiás.

History

Pope John XXIII. founded with the Apostolic Constitution Cum venerabilis on 25 November 1961, São Luís de Montes Territorialprälatur Belus from annexations of the dioceses Goiás, Jataí and of the Archdiocese of Goiânia, which it was assumed as a suffragan.

With the Bull Qui ad Beatissimi Petri was collected on 4 August 1981 for the diocese.

The Diocese of São Luís de Montes Belus includes the municipalities of São Luís de Montes Belus, Acreúna, Americano do Brasil, Amorinópolis, Anicuns, Aragarcas, Arenópolis, Aurilândia, Avelinópolis, Baliza, Bom Jardim de Goiás, Goiás de Cachoeira, Caiapônia, Cezarina, Córrego do Ouro, Diorama, Doverlândia, firminopolis, Indiara, Iporá, Israelândia, Ivolândia, Jandaia, Jaupaci, Moiporá, Montes Claros de Goiás, Nazário, Palestina de Goiás, Goiás Palmeiras de, Palminópolis, Paraúna, piranhas, São João da Paraúna, Turvânia and Turvelândia of the state of Goiás.
