Roman Catholic Diocese of Tainan

The Diocese of Tainan (Latin Dioecesis Tainanensis ) is a diocese located in the Republic of China to the Roman Catholic church located in Tainan. It includes the city of Tainan and Penghu County in the western part of the island of Taiwan.

History

Pope John XXIII. founded it with the Apostolic Constitution Quoniam secundum on March 21 in 1961 of territory of the Diocese of Kaohsiung. It was the Archdiocese of Taipei assumed as suffragan.
