Roman Catholic Diocese of Transfiguration at Novosibirsk

The Diocese of the Transfiguration of Novosibirsk (Latin: Dioecesis Neosibirianus Transfigurationis, Russian Преображенская епархия в Новосибирске ) is a diocese of the Roman Catholic Church in Russia, based in Novosibirsk.

The diocese was founded on April 13, 1991 by Pope John Paul II as Apostolic Administration of Siberia. On 18 May 1999, the separation took place in the apostolic administrations of Eastern Siberia (Siberia Orientale ) and West Siberia (Siberia Occidentale ). On 11 February 2002, the Apostolic Administration of Western Siberia was built by the Apostolic Constitution meridional Russiae as Diocese of the Transfiguration of Novosibirsk. It is the Archdiocese of Moscow assumed as suffragan. The name refers to the Transfiguration of Christ.
