Roman Catholic Diocese of Udaipur
The Diocese of Udaipur (Latin: Dioecesis Udaipurensis ) is a located in India Roman Catholic diocese based in Udaipur.
History
The Diocese of Udaipur was established on 3 December 1984 by Pope John Paul II made cessions of territory of the Diocese of Ajmer and Jaipur and the Archdiocese of Agra is a suffragan. First bishop was Joseph Pathalil. On 25 March 2002, the Diocese of Udaipur were parts of its territory from the foundation of the Diocese of Jhabua.
Territory
The diocese comprises the districts of Udaipur Udaipur, Rajsamand, Bhilwara, Chittorgarh, Dungarpur and Banswara in Rajasthan, as well as the tehsil of the district Thandla Jhabua in the state of Madhya Pradesh.
