Roman Catholic Diocese of Yongnian

The diocese Weixian (Latin: Dioecesis Iomnieninus ) is a location in the People's Republic of China Roman Catholic diocese based in Handan.

History

The diocese Weixian was on May 24, 1929 by Pope Pius XI. cessions of territory from the Apostolic Vicariate Xianxian built as Apostolic Prefecture Weixian. The Apostolic Prefecture Weixian was born on March 6, 1933 by Pius XI. elevated to the Apostolic Vicariate.

The Apostolic Vicariate of Weixian was posted on April 11, 1946 by Pope Pius XII. charged with the Apostolic Constitution Quotidie Nos to the diocese and the Archdiocese of Beijing is a suffragan.
