Roman Catholic Diocese of Yuci
The diocese Yuci (Latin: Dioecesis Iuzeanus ) is a Roman Catholic diocese based in Yuci in the People's Republic of China.
History
Pope Pius XI. founded with the Breve Cum minister the Apostolic Prefecture Yütze on June 17 of 1931 annexations of the Apostolic Vicariate Taiyüanfu. On March 9, 1944, she was elevated to the rank of Apostolic Vicariate. With the Apostolic Constitution Quotidie Nos it was raised on April 11, 1946 Diocese.
With the expulsion of foreign missionaries the diocese remained vacant since 1953. Bishop Anthony Humilis Yang Kuang C'hi, who had ordained priest in hiding, but was soon arrested and died in 1957 (or 1958) in prison. Since then, the bishop's throne is vacant. On 14 September 1999, the priest Jean -Baptiste Wang Jin was ordained a bishop.
