Roman Catholic Diocese of Zhouzhi

The diocese Zhouzhi (Latin: Dioecesis Ceucevensis ) is a Roman Catholic diocese based in Zhouzhi in the People's Republic of China.

History

Pope Pius XI. founded the Apostolic Prefecture Chowchich on June 17, 1932 annexations of the Apostolic Vicariate Sianfu. It was raised on 10 May 1951 bishopric.

On January 25, 1982, the priest Paul Fan Yufei, who died on 5 April 1995, consecrated a bishop illegally. The following official Bishop Alphonsus Guangyan Yang, bishop since December 17, 1995, died 4 September 2004 and was succeeded by the Bishop of Xi'an as Apostolic Administrator. In October 2005, the secret Bishop Joseph Wu Qinjing was ordained a bishop.
