Roman Catholicism in Montenegro

The Roman Catholic Church in Montenegro is a small diaspora church. In Montenegro, about 21,000 Catholics. Most of the inhabitants of the country belong to the Orthodox Church, next to the Catholic there is also a Muslim minority in Montenegro. There are two Roman Catholic dioceses, the Archdiocese immediate bar and the Diocese of Kotor. The majority of the faithful in the Diocese of Kotor speaks Croatian and the local Catholics belong to the Croatian minority in Montenegro. Traditionally, Kotor is a suffragan of the Dalmatian city of Split - Makarska and the Bishop of Kotor thus also a member of the Croatian Bishops' Conference. In the Archdiocese bar a little more than half of the Catholics are albanischsprachig.
