Roman Sharonov (2011)
Roman Sergeyevich Sharonov (Russian Роман Сергеевич Шаронов; born September 8, 1976 in Moscow, Soviet Union ) is a Russian football player. It can be used as internal or right-back and is currently captain of Rubin Kazan. He is also a member of the Russian national team.
Career
Association
Scharonows first professional club was the FC Lokomotiv-2 Moscow, the farm team of Lokomotiv Moscow. In 1997, he subsequently moved to China for the Shanghai Fubao FC, but returned in the same year returned to Russia. There he played for Metallurg Krasnoyarsk in the 2nd Division. Two years later he moved to Rubin Kazan in the first division. With Ruby, he rose in 2002 in the Premjer league on.
In 2005 he moved to Terek Grozny. With the club he joined after a season from in the first division. In the following two years playing for Terek Grozny Sharonov and Schinnik Yaroslavl in the second division, before he returned for the 2008 season to Rubin Kazan. With Kazan he won in 2008 and 2009, the Russian Championship and came from 2009, in the UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League action.
National
Sharonov debuted on 31 March 2004 in the Russian national team when he came off the bench in a friendly against Bulgaria in the mid-term break. He denied in 2004, six more international matches, including the games against Spain and Greece at the European Championships in 2004.
After more than seven years without international duty Sharonov was appointed in 2012 to the squad for Euro 2012. His opponent Vasily Berezutsky was not available due to injury. Behind Berezutsky Alexei and Sergei Ignaschewitsch Sharonov is however planned only as a substitute. Ahead of the European Championships, he came in a friendly against Uruguay on May 25, 2012 on his eighth international duty.
Private
Roman Sharonov is married to his second wife, the television presenter, Nadezhda Schejn. With her he has three children: Marusya (* 2005), Vasilisa (* 2010) and Lew (* 2011). In addition Sharonov has a daughter named Anastasia (* 1998), which comes from his first marriage.
