Ronald Berndt

Ronald Murray Berndt (* July 14, 1916 in Adelaide, † 2 May 1990 in Perth ) was an Australian anthropologist.

Together with his wife Catherine Berndt, he worked in the Northern Territory on the Daly River. Among his most important works Kunapipi (1951 ), Djanggawul (1952 ) and Man, land and myth in Northern Australia ( 1970), he was also the collection of essays Aboriginal Man in Australia: Essays in Honour of Emeritus Professor AP Elkin out.
