Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec

Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec is an international design studio based in Paris, France. Equal partners are the brothers Ronan Bouroullec (born 1971 in Quimper ) and Erwan Bouroullec (born 1976 in Quimper ).

Life

Ronan Bouroullec graduated in 1996 at the École nationale supérieure des arts Décoratifs in Paris and founded in the same year, a design office there. Erwan worked on the first drafts during his studies as a wizard. 1997 presented both their " Disintegrated Kitchen" at the furniture fair in Milan and were discovered by Giulio Cappellini. From him they received the first commercial order for the design label cappellini. 1999 ended his brother Erwan Bouroullec at the École nationale supérieure d'arts in Cergy-Pontoise studying successfully and joined as a partner in his brother's office, which has since been renamed as Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec.

2000 got Ronan and Erwan an order for the design of the exhibition space for the collection of A- Poc by Issey Miyake in Paris. In the same year, there were initial discussions with Rolf Fehlbaum, the owner of vitra, to an extensive cooperation - led - starting with an office system " Joyn ". Since 2004, the brothers also work for the Italian furniture manufacturer Magis, 2006, she designed for the Danish manufacturer Kvadrat fabric the new showroom in Stockholm. The textile room subsystem " North Tiles " is a result of this collaboration.

Since 2001, the Bouroullec brothers are also working on various experimental design projects that have been presented to the public in Paris in four exhibitions in the gallery Creon.
