Ronit Elkabetz

Ronit Elkabetz (Hebrew רונית אלקבץ; born November 27, 1964 in the city of Be'er Sheva, Israel) is an Israeli actress, film director and screenwriter.

Life

Ronit Elkabetz was the daughter of Moroccan Jews in Be'er Sheva. She spent her childhood in Kiryat Jam. She herself never studied acting, but began her career as a model. Nevertheless, she made her debut in the 1990 published and staged by Daniel Wachsmann Drama Hameyu'ad on the side of Tzvi Shissel and Yitzhak Ne'eman. Then she starred in other films too, including in the staged drama of Haim Bouzaglo Tzaleket, with whom she made ​​her debut screenplay.
