Ronnie Hellström

Ronnie Carl Hellström ( born February 21, 1949 in Malmö) is a former Swedish football goalkeeper.

Ronnie Hellström counted at the time the world's best goalkeepers. He became famous for the football World Cup in 1974, fifth place / Second Final Round occupied in Sweden. In the same year he turned professional at the German Bundesliga club 1.FC Kaiserslautern. His career in Kaiserslautern lasted until 1984. He reached the Lauterern the finals of the DFB - Pokal in 1976 and the DFB Cup in 1981, was the 1978/79 winter champions (at the end of third parties, also 1980). In 1982 he reached the semi-finals with UC - 1 FCK. 1975 and 1977 he was instrumental in the league. He played 266 Bundesliga games.

In the Swedish national team, he completed 77 international caps and was founded in 1971 and elected in 1978 in Sweden to the football player of the year. He participated in the World Championships in 1970, 1974 and 1978. Legendary: the championship game in 1974 against the Federal Republic, which was lost in Dusseldorf after a hard fight 2:4.

After End of career Hellström worked as a goalkeeping coach with Hammarby IF and Malmö FF. He is now working for the Swedish subsidiary of Hornbach in a responsible position.
