Ronny Thielemann

Ronny Thielemann (* November 15, 1973 in Schlema ) is a former German football player and current football coach. He is currently the coach of the first FC Magdeburg under contract.

Thielemann began playing football in Karl- Marx-Stadt. After a total of 16 years in youth and in the men's team of bismuth and Erzgebirge Aue of 1.74 m wide midfielder moved in summer 1999 to the then first division side Hansa Rostock. He remained one season with the Hanseatic League and completed seven games. In summer 2000 he changed to the straight to the 1st Bundesliga Ascended Energie Cottbus. In the following three years, he ran 32 times for the Lausitz on, celebrated two class Receive and rose at the end of the 2002/ 03 from the 2nd Bundesliga. After only a second league game in September 2003, he moved to FC Sachsen Leipzig in the Regionalliga Nord. With Jena he won the championship in the Oberliga West and thus rose to the Regionalliga. In the following season with FC Carl Zeiss Jena He even succeeded in promotion to the 2nd Bundesliga. From 2007 to 2010 Thielemann was used as a leading player in the 2nd team of Energie Cottbus, he also was an assistant coach this team.

After the end of his active career Thielemann was a year coach of the youth of the FC Erzgebirge Aue. In July 2011 he was first assistant coach of 1.FC Magdeburg, where he signed a two-year contract until 2013. After the coach Wolfgang Sandhowe was released from his duties because of lack of success, Thielemann end of October 2011 took over as coach.
