Rosa María Britton

Rosa María Britton ( born July 28, 1936 in Panama) is a woman doctor and writer from Panama.

Britton's father was Cuban and her mother came from Panama. She attended the school of their hometown and completed her schooling in Havana ( Cuba). She then studied at the University of Madrid and Gynaecology Oncology and later moved in these subjects at the Kingston Jewish Medical Center in Brooklyn (New York).

Since 1973 she lives in her hometown of Panama City and has created in addition to their work as a doctor, in time, a name as a writer.

She won four times the Ricardo Miró Prize.
