Rose Nabinger

Nabinger Rose ( born October 23, 1958 in Höchst im Odenwald, Hesse ) is a German jazz singer and volunteer functionary. She sings mainly traditional jazz. The most appearances she has with the jazz band jazz enthusiasts circle shank & Rose Nabinger.

Life and work

Nabinger sang as a teenager in American clubs in and around Frankfurt. She studied in Heidelberg and at the University of Marburg political science and geography to the state exam in 1981. Since that time she has lived in Marburg. You concerts and participated in festivals and galas in Germany and other European countries participate.

She wrote the German text versions of several jazz standards. She wrote the lyrics to the music of Saint Elizabeth Christian Bruhn.

Until 2001 she was the German representative in the Working Group of the Fédération Internationale des Musiciens Jazz, Paris.

2001 to 2004 she was appointed by the Federal Minister Walter Riester, representing the full-time self-employed musicians in the Federal Republic in the field of music in the advisory board of the KSK. January 2005, she was nominated again for four years, this time by the Federal Minister Ulla Schmidt. Her appointment was proposed by the members of the Union of German jazz musician.

The Verdi Federal Congress elected Rose Nabinger in October 2003 in Berlin as deputy chairman of the Federal Commission Free and Independent.

In 2011 she was appointed music authors of the German Music Council in the Federal Committee. In the same year she became a member of the Assembly of the Hessian State Authority for Commercial Broadcasting and New Media in Kassel.

She is married to Heinz Teitge and has a son.
