Rosedale (TTC)

Rosedale is an above-ground subway station in Toronto. It lies on the Yonge- University - Spadina line of the Toronto Subway, at the intersection of Yonge Street and Crescent Road. The station is used daily by an average of 7,520 passengers (2009 /10).

Despite its proximity to downtown and interchanges to two bus lines Rosedale is one of the least frequented stations of the network, due to the low building density of the surrounding affluent Rosedale neighborhood. The station is located in one incision and has side platforms, which are accessible via two pedestrian bridges. The opening took place on 30 March 1954 together with the portion Union - Eglinton Yonge Subway, the first subway on Canadian soil. The building, designed by John B. Parkin station building stands since 1990 under municipal monument.
