Roselend Dam

The Roselend Dam ( French: Barrage de Roselend ) is a large dam in the Beaufortin massif in Albertville, Savoie department in the Rhône-Alpes region in France. It was commissioned in 1960. The jammed river is the Doron; the reservoir is called Lac de Roselend.

The shut-off is a combination of an arch dam and buttress dam. The central, highest part is formed by an arc with a radius of 215 m; on the sides are the less high pillar walls. On construction, the engineers Jean Bellier and André Coyne and the architect Henri Marty were involved. The Dam is the fourth highest in France.
