Rosenfeld is a city between Balingen and Oberndorf am Neckar, about 60 km south of Stuttgart in Zollernalbkreis in Baden-Württemberg.

The city Rosenfeld consists of the seven districts Bickel Mountain, Brittheim, Heiligenzimmern, Isingen, Leidringen, Rosenfeld and Täbingen which include the core city Rosenfeld and 32 other villages, hamlets, farms and (individual) houses.

Except in Rosenfeld district towns are established in terms of the Baden-Württemberg municipal code, each with its own mayor and Ortschaftsrat as its chairman in the districts.

In the urban area there are several Outbound, now-defunct villages. The two waste places high village in the district Bickel mountain and high Stetten in the district Bickel Mountain as well as in the district Brittheim in the field of Häselhöfe. Both places are probably gone off in the 14th century. The place name is first mentioned in 1488, Stetten high. The place Haarhausen was first mentioned in 1094 as Horohusen documented and has come off the early 14th century. The denunciation until unification with that of Brittheim 1800's. Among Haarhausen also included a castle, now only a castle barn on the mountain, also referred to as a castle stables. Later there was a seat in the place itself in Heiligenzimmern district the deserted village Beuren is. The town was mentioned as Purrom 786 and 1287 as Cimmern in Burrer valley. The Court majority in today's district Isingen was mentioned in 1823 and abandoned after a fire in 1848. In Leidringen district lie the deserted villages Höfingen and small rooms. Höfingen is probably gone off before 1400. The place little rooms was first mentioned in 1327, was still inhabited in 1424, by 1500 only two mills were left. In Rosenfeld district, stone fountain and the two castles dialed Tiefburg mountain and castle unfaithful are the waste places Berkheim, boys Mayrhofen with the Postal Wasserburg boys Mayrhofen, Horgenau (?) Target. In Täbingen district on the border of the district Dietinger Gößlingen was the place Hausen, who was possibly identical with the 793 mentioned Juchhusa. see also Castle Rosenfeld

History

The present city was re- formed in the course of municipal reform in Baden- Württemberg on 1 January 1975 by combining the city Rosenfeld and the communities Heiligenzimmern and Leidringen. Also 1 January 1975 Täbingen was incorporated. The incorporation of Bickel Mountain took place on July 1, 1971. Brittheim and Isingen were incorporated on 1 January 1974.

Structures

  • The Old Pharmacy, built in 1244, is the oldest surviving stone house in Southern Germany.
  • The Roman Baths is a former Roman villa, which was excavated in the mid- 1970s, a new housing development.
  • The Heinrich Blickle Museum ( collection of cast- iron stove plates) is located in the fruit box, one of four granaries in Württemberg, which was completed in support of the poorest people in times of need on the order of the duke of Württemberg Eberhard im Bart in 1581.
