Roseville is a village ( Village ) in Muskingum County, and Perry County in the U.S. state of Ohio. The village is located about 70 km from the west in the federal capital and is located on Columbus Moxahala Creek, a tributary of the Muskingum River.

Population

At the time of the census of 2000, there were 1,936 residents in the town. More than 98 % of them were white. The per capita income was 24 706 U.S. dollars, about 27 % of the population lived below the poverty line.

History

Although the place the end of the 19th century had only a little more than 500 inhabitants, Roseville had its own newspaper, three mills and five churches. Some buildings were listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

The place lived mainly by several potteries, which existed from the turn of the century until about the Second World War also. In Roseville is a branch of the Public Library of Muskingum County, which is connected to the Library Network of the Muskingum County Library System.
