Rosie Reyes

Rosa Maria "Rosie" Reyes Darmon ( born March 23, 1939 in Mexico ) is a former Mexican tennis player.

Biography

Reyes played from the late 1950s to the late 1970s, active tennis. Her biggest success was the victory at the French Tennis Championships (now the French Open ) 1958 in women's doubles. With her doubles partner and compatriot Yola Ramirez defeated in the final of the Australian women Mary Bevis Hawton and Thelma Coyne Long in straight sets 6-4, 7-5. In the years 1957 and 1959 Reyes Ramirez reached the finals of the doubles competition in 1974 and the final in the mixed doubles with the Mexicans Marcelo Lara.

Reyes married the French tennis player Pierre Darmon and took its name.
