Ross Robinson

Ross Robinson is a music producer, which is especially awarded due to his work for the debut albums by Korn and Limp Bizkit, a style-defining role in the formation and development of the Nu Metal.

Career

Before Robinson was first recognized in 1993 as an assistant producer for the album WASP The Crimson Idol from a larger mass, he worked as a thrash metal guitarist named in a Murdercar tape along with the later Machine Head drummer Dave McClain.

Beginning with the 1994 Robinson was slow to embody the sound maker of a new generation of rock and metal bands especially after the global success of which he produced albums Korn and Life Is Peachy discovered by his band Korn and grew into one of the most sought-after music producers in the rock business on. Productions for, among others, Amen, Cold, Machine Head or Soulfly followed. The well produced by him Sepultura album Roots Robinson can be heard on the song Ratamahatta 1996 as an additional percussionist. In 1997 he took the debut Three Dollar Bill, Yall $ from Limp Bizkit at, which also caused a stir worldwide and paved the way for a large number of similar bands.

In the late 1990s, however, Robinson distanced at the peak of the nu-metal from the hype of his own previously constructed with genre and threw the new bands musical stagnation and irrelevance before. Through the production of the two Slipknot albums Slipknot (1999) and Iowa ( 2001) Robinson contributed greatly to the fact that this band is now counted among the most popular hard acts worldwide.

Robinson was co-founder and operator of the New York night club The Plumm.
