Rostislav Vojáček

Rostislav Vojáček ( born February 23, 1949 in Křenovice ) is a former Czech football player and current football coach.

Player

Club career

Rostislav Vojáček played in his youth and Slavoj Kojetin for Křenovice. His military service completed the tall man Decker 1968-1970 at Dukla Kroměříž and Dukla Tábor.

Then moved to Banik Ostrava Vojáček, where he remained until his retirement in late 1986. With Banik won the reliable defenders in 1976, 1980 and 1981, the Czechoslovak Championship, the 1978 Czechoslovak Cup. In the league Vojáček played 381 games in which he scored 26 goals.

National

Vojáček debuted on April 7, 1974 in the Czechoslovak national team that defeated Brazil in the Maracana stadium with 0:1. Overall, he ran 40 times for Czechoslovakia, at the European Championships 1980, he won the bronze medal with his team. Also at the unsuccessful for Czechoslovakia 1982 World Cup, he took part, it should be his last appearance in the Czechoslovak Dress.

Coach

After his playing career Vojáček worked in the 1990s several times as an assistant coach at Banik Ostrava. In the season 1999/ 00 he released in March 2000 Werner Lička from as head coach, but has since worked as a youth coach at Banik.
