Round the Twist

Twist Total was an Australian family series.

The stories of the first and second season of the series based on the short stories by Paul Jennings. For the third and fourth season, the collaboration was not continued.

Action

The widower Tony Twist draws shortly after the death of his wife and his three children, 13- year-old twins Pete and Linda and the 7 -year-old Bronson, of the city off the coast of Australia to Port Niranda in a lighthouse. There they want to start a new life, not only human opponents as the real estate shark Mr. Gribble who wants to make out the small town of Port Niranda a tourist town, and his son James make this project difficult. They quickly realize that it is haunting the lighthouse and the surrounding area. Psychic phenomena: ghosts, the spirit Mr. Chompers, strangely behaving gulls or even vampires and tree girls twirl on the family's life.

Each episode tells a standalone story, however, the main plot lines pass through an entire season.

Family Twist:

  • Interested widower with a good heart, sculptor, at Bronson's teacher Faye James - Tony Twist
  • Pete Twist - Linda's twin brother, type of girl, sometimes a relationship with Fiona
  • Linda Twist - Pete's twin sister, feminist, environmentalist, Judoka
  • Bronson Twist - the younger brother obsessed with eating his own food invention the Bronwiches, a portmanteau word from Bronson and sandwich

  • Helen Nell ' Richards - the old woman who lives in the cottage next to the lighthouse, her brother Tom was previously lighthouse keeper
  • Harold Gribble - real estate agent who often tries to disgust the Twists from the lighthouse
  • Matron Gribble - Nurse and Gribble him supportive wife
  • James Gribble - Gribble's no-good son, at school, a bully who often mess with Pete
  • , Rabbit ' - a friend of James Gribble, is often suppressed by this
  • 'Tiger' - another friend of James Gribble, commenting on various events in the first and second season
  • Faye James - Bronson's teacher; Love affair of Tony Twist, in the third and fourth season, she lives with the Twists in the lighthouse
  • Ralph Snapper - Pete and Linda's teacher, a tough man he has in insolence against no leniency
  • Fiona - Linda's friend and sometimes Pete's girlfriend.

Occupation

The individual scales were produced from each other by a considerable margin, so that at every season almost the entire cast has been changed.

Awards

The series was awarded 2000 on the Canadian Banff World Television Festival with a Rockie Award for Best Children's Program category. In 2002 she received an Australian Logie Award for Outstanding Children's Program.
