Rówienko, Pomeranian Voivodeship

Rówienko ( German Rowener Vorwerk ) is a very small village in the northwest of the Polish Pomeranian Voivodeship. It belongs to the municipality Główczyce ( Glowitz ) in the powiat Słupski ( Stolp ).

The place name comes Rówienko in Poland before even in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship.

The place Rówienko in the Pomeranian Voivodeship is located in the meadows and moorland south-west of Lake Leba ( Jeziore Leba ) and is about the province road 213 and the villages Rumsko ( Rumbske ) and Rovno ( Rowen ) reachable. A rail connection does not exist.

Rówienko than earlier Rowener Vorwerk with the village of Rowen (now Polish: Rovno ) and its history intimately connected. As early as 1784 it is mentioned. By 1945, the Rowener Vorwerk was a village in the municipality of Rowen, for the official and the civil registry district Rumbske ( Rumsko ) in the district of Stolp in the district of Koszalin ( Koszalin ) belonged to the Prussian province of Pomerania.

Since 1945, the Rowener Vorwerk is Polish under the name Rówienko and now part of Gmina Główczyce in powiat Słupski in the Pomeranian Voivodeship ( 1975-1998 Voivodeship Stolp ). The very small and inhabited by less than twenty people place is incorporated into the mayor's office Rumsko.
