Roy Sherwood

Roy Sherwood ( born June 11, 1932 in Salisbury, Connecticut ) is an American former ski jumper.

Career

Sherwood won at the U.S. Championships in 1954 on Suicide Hill in Ishpeming U.S. champion in the individual competition.

At the Olympic Winter Games 1956 in Cortina d' Ampezzo, he reached the 36th place with jumps of 71.5 and 68 meters.

After the end of his active ski jumping career began working as a youth coach in his hometown of Salisbury. In addition, he has long been active as a ski juror.
