Royal and Military Order of Saint Hermenegild

The Order of Saint Hermenegildo (Real y Militar Orden de San Hermenegildo ) was a Spanish military Order of Merit, King Ferdinand VII of Spain founded on 28 November 1811 but activated only on 10 July 1815. Named after he was Hermenegild, son of the Visigoth Leovigild.

Order of classes

The Order had three classes:

  • Grand Cross with the title of Excellence
  • Officer
  • Knight
