Royal Architectural Institute of Canada

The Royal Architectural Institute of Canada ( RAIC ) and the Royal Institute d'Architecture du Canada ( IRAC ) was founded in 1907 and is the most established Canadian Architecture union with more than 3,200 members. It confers annually in conjunction with the Canada Council for the Arts, the Governor General's Medals in Architecture at newly constructed works of Canadian architects.

Membership

Members include architects, teachers and graduates of Canadian schools of architecture. Membership is divided into appropriate categories. So wear the architect title "Member" ("Member" ), members of associated professions the title of " Fellow" and Honorary members may be admitted as "Honorary Fellows ".
