Royal de Luxe

Royal de Luxe is a street theater group from Nantes in France. In their spectacles they often use smaller and larger technical toys. Examples are several meters high puppets ( " le Géant " and " la Petite Géante " ) and a life-sized mechanical elephant ( " L'Elephant ").

History

Founded in 1979 in Aix -en- Provence by a group led by Jean -Luc Courcoult. In the 80s, the group in Toulouse, they left because of lack of financial support 1989.   • Two Shakespeare plays at the same time on a rotating platform ( 2004)
  • La Révolte the Mannequins ( the revolt of the mannequins). After Charleville- Mézières, Nantes, Maastricht, Amiens, Anvers, Calais and Tokyo this production was demonstrated with mannequins in November 2008 in Berlin.
  • Sea Odyssey: Giant Spectacular (2012 ) in Liverpool, to mark the 100th anniversary of the Titanic disaster.
