Royal de Luxe
Royal de Luxe is a street theater group from Nantes in France. In their spectacles they often use smaller and larger technical toys. Examples are several meters high puppets ( " le Géant " and " la Petite Géante " ) and a life-sized mechanical elephant ( " L'Elephant ").
History
Founded in 1979 in Aix -en- Provence by a group led by Jean -Luc Courcoult. In the 80s, the group in Toulouse, they left because of lack of financial support 1989. - Since 1993, a series of performances with giant puppets in various cities in Europe, Africa and South America: Le Geant tombé du ciel (1993 ), Le Géant tombé du ciel: dernier voyage (1994 ), Retour d' Afrique (1998), Les chasseurs de girafe (2000 ), La visite du sultan des Indes / L' éléphant et la Petite Géante (2005-2007). From 1 to 4 October 2009, the puppet show The Berlin Reunion as part of the series of events marking the 20th anniversary of the fall of the Wall in the German capital took place under the title.
- Two Shakespeare plays at the same time on a rotating platform ( 2004)
- La Révolte the Mannequins ( the revolt of the mannequins). After Charleville- Mézières, Nantes, Maastricht, Amiens, Anvers, Calais and Tokyo this production was demonstrated with mannequins in November 2008 in Berlin.
- Sea Odyssey: Giant Spectacular (2012 ) in Liverpool, to mark the 100th anniversary of the Titanic disaster.
